Public Administration Student Association (PAStA) was founded jointly by a group of MPA students to represent students in the School of Public Administration and their interests. We are currently recruiting for members so that we can get this organization off the ground and start working toward our objectives!
PAStA plans to be actively involved with the School of Public Administration’s affairs, lobbying MPA students’ interests, and contributing to personal and professional development. The purpose of the organization shall be to serve as a common interest group involved in events, networking, education, recruiting, and outreach for Public Administration.
In September of each year, PAStA will conduct elections of its new leadership among the current members.
According to the PAStA Constitution, the elected positions include President, Senior Vice-President, Vice-President of Administration, and Vice-President of Finance. The elected positions constitute the leadership of the organization with the rest of the Public Administration student body comprising its membership. Dr. John Bartle (also the Director of the School of Public Administration) is the current advisor to the leadership team, supporting its activities and providing his expertise to ensure effectiveness and high performance of the organization.
PAStA hopes to annually sponsor a number of events (lectures, workshops and conferences) that are open for all University students and community members to attend.
